Artisanal tea with modern precision

Our Decent Espresso machine goes beyond coffee. With a dedicated tea portafilter, you can also brew impressive fine tea with our machine. And we've got built-in software, too. Coffee expert Scott Rao designed a collection of tea-brewing profiles that cater to the unique brewing needs of different tea types, featuring oolong, black tea, white tea, and more.

Tradition meets technology with precise temperature, steeping, and pressure control

Inspired by the traditional craft of tea brewing, our profiles feature multiple infusions to bring out the tea's desired strength and vibrancy. You can easily adjust parameters of the preset profiles to suit your needs, including the number of steeps, the length of each immersion, water temperature, and pressure.

Extracting with pressure

Decent machines can brew tea in ways that traditional methods cannot by curating a pressurized environment. An adjustable spring in the portafilter determines the brewing pressure. We recommend brewing at 2-3 bars of pressure to increase extraction while keeping astringency low. Tea brewed with this method boasts a heavier body and allows more flavors to shine through. 

Easy to use

To use the tea portafilter, simply twist out the metal coffee portafilter from the handle and swap in the tea version. You can adjust the brewing pressure by loosening or tightening the screw at the bottom with a flat screwdriver.

Decent Black Tea profile

Black tea

This type of processed tea requires more intense extraction. Our profile aims for an extraction temperature of over 100 °C, which is only possible in a pressurized environment. To better control the extraction, the infusion time is shorter (12s - 20s) with long immersion (30s - 40s) to fully release the flavors.

Decent Sencha Profile

Sencha

This delicate green tea can be over-extracted at higher temperatures. Our profile targets a 60°C extraction for these lightly processed teas. A gradually longer immersion time (20s - 30s) between each steep brings out flavor while sustaining this gentle approach.

Utile pour préparer du thé ou d'autres infusions. Fonctionne avec les feuilles de thé en vrac et les sachets de thé Nous recommandons d'utiliser ce porte-filtre uniquement sur les machines Decent. Comprend une valve qui s'ouvre entre 4 et 7 bars, conformément à votre réglage. Nécessite une poignée munie d'un boulon M10.

Le porte-filtre est conçu pour fonctionner sur les machines Decent et peut ne pas être compatible avec d'autres machines à expresso.
